Rapper Pilla B Releases New Project “Taijitu”

Today, rapper Pilla B releases his EP "Taijitu'' carefully named to symbolize the sense of personal balance Pilla B constantly aims to achieve in his personal life and career- embodying the concept of Yin and Yang, Pilla B continues to exude upper echelon creativity with a championship mindset. The project includes Toronto based producers Harley Arsenault, Burd & Keyz, Reaper Beatz and Chicago’s Louis Laurentt and will be supported with visuals for his single “Scholarships” animated by frequent collaborator Andre Barnwell. Following that are videos for “Switching Up” and “Ain’t Worried” by director Jake Fair.
“Taijutu represents the little bit of good in the bad and the little bit of bad in the good. This is where I feel like I live and what keeps me balanced. Without the little bit of bad in the good people out here would take me for a joke. Without the little bit of good in the bad we wouldn't have anything to bring us back once we unravel.”
- Pilla B
On the inspiration behind “Scholarships” Pilla B tells us: “My cousin Sean Miller Moore is hoopin on a full academic scholarship at GCU - we talk everyday so I was inspired to create this record. That and the fact that if rap scholarships were being given out I would have my masters by now.”
